My coworkers and I all received end of (fiscal) year gift cards from work. A fairly hefty Visa gift card. CHA CHING! Since my mother and step father let me live with them for the free – I figured I’d take them to dinner with said card.

They wanted to stay close because wine. Cafe Piazza was an obvious choice. In the heart of our small town’s historic town square, lies a breadth of shops and southern charm. Down by the (very active) railroad tracks lies Cafe Piazza, a tiny house turned Italian restaurant.

Followed by a crab meat panini (I’m worried I’m going to turn into a crab) and cool pasta salad. The dip was my favorite thing, but the ambience was better. Our town square is comfort. I’m not alone in this – it was recently voted best town square in the country, like what? Anyways, I washed it all down with three glasses of wine and now I’m cuddled up watching Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.
