Fish Tacos

The apartment is covered in boxes full of our crap. That can only mean one thing – WE’RE MOVING, PEOPLE!

Finally, your girl gets a house. A guest bedroom! A kitchen with appliances that don’t make gurgling noises throughout the night! More than one bathroom! (Marriage is tough enough I cannot share a toilet any longer)

Moving is heinous, though. I feel so bad for Garrett because I keep getting distracted. Like, I was packing some books & I picked one up that I forgot how much I adored. He comes in the room 10 minutes later & I’m huddled in the corner reading & biting my nails hoping I blend in with the wall & he doesn’t see me.

I also keep getting “hungry” & having to take snack breaks.

“I need a snack – I’ll make pasta!”

“Are you hungry? I’ll make pork chops!”

“No you don’t understand – I will certainly die if I don’t have frozen yogurt this instant!”

He’s just so much more efficient at packing than I am – why not focus on our strengths?

I swear I am fun & v easy to live with.

Good luck with your move!! Moving to a house with room to spread out a little is a great feeling. I know too much about moving (8 times in 13 years). The last two times we paid someone to mover our stuff, but there was still the boxing up… anyway, good luck!! I’m excited for y’all!
P.S. Fish Tacos is on the menu for this week. Using very similar recipes, but using Mahi Mahi!! 🙂

Fish tacos are the bomb I love to cheat and put fish sticks in and salsa and call it a fish taco because who are we kidding fish sticks taste amazing and I’m poor and kinda lazy. Good luck with your move!

the only thing than moving is moving someone else. and technically, you’re moving yourself AND g. so you go ahead and just blend away into that wall.

By the age of 17, I had moved 6 times. In ireland, 15… I realised the other day that I have been living for the last 9 years in the same place, the longest ever. Some friends call me the “Gypsy Kings”, I fancy myself more like a Jack Kerouac. I share your pain sister, I hate it! Now, like David Caradine said, I am just a guy, walking in the sand, playing his flute 😀

OH – Fish Tacos! A billion years ago buying them from street vendors in Mexico – just what ARE all those amazing flavours that taste so fabulous I don’t care about the tummy ache later! 😉
