Shrimp + Pesto Pizza

Can we talk about golf for a second? No, for real, it will only take a second.

Because it’s the most boring activity I’ve ever even heard of. Literally, I’d rather watch a checkers match than golf. Yet people line up to stand out in the heat & just…. watch.

The U.S. Open just has my head spinning. I’ve sat in a lot of golf traffic lately so I’ve had lots of time to think about this.

1) There’s a dress code. Collared shirts. K no girls look cute in polo shirts. I’m not a feminist, but this is so rude. 2) You can’t speak above a whisper. This is a sport, right? I want to drink too many cold beverages & yell at people. Like, freedom of speech. 3) Crowds. There will be an expected 60,000 spectators at the Open each day this weekend. I literally don’t ever need to be in the same space as 60,000 people tbh.

I have a confession… I used to watch golf a little as a teenager. It was kind of soothing to me and it was followed by a nap. I’m weird like that… I don’t think seafood (besides David’s half anchovies) have ever adorned my pizza before. The pizza looks fabulous!

    Preach!
    Golf is NOT a sport.
It has no defense, no matter who’s playing, there is no direct challenge against ones skill – I repeat, golf is NOT a sport.

That said – I literally made a Chicken Pesto Pizza , extreeemly similar to this yesterday. I was gonna post next week lol.
    We’re so similar it’s scary fun 🙂

Riiiiiiight. It’s just the worst. So many rules. Found out that you can’t ride the little cart between holes. HAVE to walk because it’s a “sport”……. I can’t.

      Stop it – we’re so in sync & I don’t hate it.

Love your take on golf. We have the Seniors Open later this month – entire sections of MAJOR roads are going to be closed – traffic nightmare. My company is supplying all the tables & chairs – trucking them in from all over the country. It takes nearly 2 months to “set up”. I don’t understand the attraction.

Oh, did you want a nice bottle of white wine with the pizza?
