I got stuck in an elevator.

I had an entirely different post planned, but then I got STUCK. IN. AN. ELEVATOR.

I don’t just mean that the doors got jammed for a second. I mean, I got in the elevator, the doors shut, & the metal death trap shudders & DROPS to the next floor. K, time to talk to Jesus. “Lord Jesus this is not the way I want to go please get me out of this.” *Shudders & Drops to the NEXT floor* “No, Jesus, you don’t understand I AM NOT FINISHED HERE YET!!!”

The doors finally open & I’m free. I fall to the concrete floor & kiss it. (I do not do this). I do, however, throw a hissy fit to my coworkers. Come to find out that the shudder & loud bang it made each time it dropped – that was the death trap catching itself. FROM CATAPULTING ME TO MY DOOM.

Suffice it to say that I’ll be taking the stairs everywhere I go & will have the most toned behind you’ve ever seen.

YIKES!! Our elevator gets stuck all the time (we live in a really old building), but we know all the tricks to get out and it never shudders and drops… though I too take the stairs more often than not just to avoid the hassle. Good for the lungs and the toosh.
Glad you’re safe, and this pizza looks amazing… will have to make something similar on a gf crust.

This looks ahhh-mazin’! My husband will love the brussel sprouts on it. Side note: That is the most insane elevator story I think I have heard. Thank god it didn’t just go crashing down….I may be taking the stairs from now on right along with ya girl! Yikes!

Elevators have ALWAYS been a huge fear of mine. Every job I’ve had has required me to take one. They had never let me down until now. The pizza helped, though. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

Glad you made it out of that freaking elevator safely!!
I got stuck once as a kid and swore I would take the stairs if I’d ever go up the Emipre State Building. Well, I did not, lol 😉
Anyways, would love to try the pizza. Do you share your BBQ sauce recipe maybe 🙂

I know the feeling. After I lived through the 89 Loma Prieta earthquake, I never wanted to park in a parking garage again (several of them pancaked). That was pretty rare though, you’ll probably be fine now and never have that experience again. As for this recipe, I thought I recognized that Trader Joe’s dough. It’s great, isn’t it? As for the brussel sprouts, that’s really creative, a great idea. I am wondering how a pizza with the sprouts deconstructed, all the leaves taken off and fried over high heat till they turn crispy, then drained of course and put on pizza as topping would be….. just thinking’….. Gotta try that idea on something anyway. French fried brussels sprouts.

AHHHH! Earthquakes are my number 1 worst fear. Like, a true phobia. Elevators are 2nd.

I think French fried Brussels sprouts sounds just brilliant! Hope you try ’em on top of a pizza!

Ermagawd! When was 13 I got stuck in the Elevator in my Dad’s office…well, I THOUGHT I got stuck and I screamed BLOODY MURDER! They literally thought I was being kidnapped or something, lol. I’m pretty sure I would have screamed bloody murder had I been in your place! But this pizza looks delicious!

Eeek! That’s scary. I have watched way to many horror movies to get stuck in an elevator. I can’t remember the last time I went up an elevator, but the idea of doing the stairs and getting buns of steel sounds like a plan. It might mean you can eat more pizzas too and that is a win win situation 🙂

Never tried sprouts on pizza but I love pizza and I love sprouts. I don’t think my husband would agree though.
